Sunderland Museums and Winter Gardens.
To mark the quincentenary of Leonardo da Vinci's death, 12 different drawings from the Royal Collection.
Showcasing everything from his anatomical studies to the beauty of nature.
It was a brilliant exhibition, to see the detail, skill and passion da Vinci had for the subjects; created using pen, ink, chalks and water colour. Every drawing in the exhibition is more than five centuries old! Wow.... just to think about that actually does blow me away! An amazing, perhaps, once in a life time experience. I feel immensely privileged to have seen the works in person, and proud to have this exhibition showcased in my home town Sunderland. I visited a few times, also my two children experienced the exhibition with me, which they enjoyed. I have to mention how pristine the sketches where also!
