3D Cardboard Collage/Sculpture. Art 180~Personal Project.

Updated: May 8, 2019

More cardboard... experimenting with 'left over' cardboard pieces from the large collage/mural previously posted. I looked to create a piece with height, something 'weighty' that could be displayed in a variety of ways, free standing, wall mounted, different perspective/angles. With an interest in tactile, hands on materials, the cardboard seemed perfect to create a layered composition. Systematically arranging and gluing individual pieces of cardboard with varied shapes, sizes into a mixture of colour and texture. Gaps can be seen from the side view dependant on the shape, size and position of the cardboard used in each layer.

I have used a fair amount of cardboard, to create a compact, weighty piece, pleasant to hold and explore. I will continue to add layers to extend the size and feel of the piece.
