Exhibition postponed due to CV19...
I had a great experience in visiting Dance City in Newcastle to sit for a few hours and sketch a group of ballet dancers.

In response to my visit and sketches, I was asked to create a piece of artwork.

Scrap metal

38 photographs of this sculpture where taken to create an animation video from the photograph stills. (Stop frame process)
I have added music by Elbow. The name of the song depicts the flowing movements, 'Gentle As'.
‘Gentle As’
Mpeg4 36 seconds.
In addition, I have started a new artwork from my experience. An art piece that depicts the dancers movement also, although using line and marks as form, using a ’softer’, less harsh material. This has so far been a relaxing experience. Sewing on canvas is a process I have little experience of but has deemed to be a very mindful creative process so far. #wip
