'Kahlo shows her solitary presence on a cracked landscape, external forces have impacted her life'

The vibrancy and subject of the painting have a surrealist representation. Kahlo painted to express her pain, I have a personal interest in how this may be translated in my own work also.

- A picture of life.

- Bares her soul to the viewer, allowing for a greater understanding of what it means to live with chronic pain.

- Pinpointing the present moment; the corset holding together her damaged body.

- A representation to express her own experiences and feelings.
